This book sparked a controversy at the University of North Carolina when it was put on the required summer reading list for incoming freshmen; the book was dismissed as liberal propaganda.

Society: "Under God" E-mail Hoax

An e-mail hoax from a few years ago has sprung up in my e-mail inbox again. It claims that Pepsi has put the Pledge of Allegiance on a new patriotic can design, but has left off the words "Under God". For this reason, we are supposed to boycott Pepsi. Not only is this e-mail untrue... it is offensive.

Charming and fluffy, "Love Actually" is a romantic comedy about a series of interconnected relationships. There's definitely an "awwww" factor in this movie; that will appeal to some people, but make other people roll their eyes.
