I have exactly the opposite problem with shipping companies. Instead of having to go and pick something up, they leave it at the door.

Things that have been left at the door by various shipping companies:
1) My old school beige desktop G3, a monitor, scanner and printer. Granted, I lived with my parents out in tbe boonies, but jeez.
2) A G4 desktop, followed the next week by a new scanner.
3) Husband's PC components, left outside, in the rain.

Every time, we must have had very honest neighbors.

I'm guessing that it was because at the time, going to the warehouse probably meant driving 2 hours. We haven't ordered anything huge recently, so time will tell if I get to experience a Microwave Popcorn Lady of my very own.

Are you sure you don't live in New York?
I was camped out at home last Friday, waiting for Ms. UPS. Sometimes they don't even ring my bell. This time she did, and I said, "Come on up!" very cheerily.

Yep. Made her walk all the way to the fifth floor with the package. She did not say ONE word to me. Nor was she on crack or meth.

P.S. At least your warehouse isn't in the Bronx.

Fed Ex Ground. Delivered to your office. I think it might even be less expensive.

UPS is the most irritating shipping company I know. If you ever want to ship me something, I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd use FedEx.
