You know Marsha, my sister was a big umeboshi fan, but I was always kinda grossed out by it. She would always leave the seeds lying around the house after sucking on them for half a day.

Mom did make plenty of okayu, though.

Don't tell me your mom never gave you an umeboshi in a cup of green tea?

Last year, if the husband had stayed home every time he should have, he would have used all his sick time by the third week of January. What can you do? Wash your hands, don't touch your face and cover your mouth, I guess.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

In co-worker defense everywhere, you are contangious (sp?) up to two weeks before you show symptoms, so what can you do? Just ride it out I suppose, bitching helps. Your mom didn't give you Vernors? And you lived in Michigan? Amy, find some Vernors, stat!

I agree about the staying home if you are sick. If you are hourly, and broke, I guess I could see it. But some people just have this idea that they must always work, no matter what. Do you work in National Security? Fine, then stay home.
