By the way, a note to Javi: you were my 1000th page load since I started counting. You'll just have to imagine the cascade of balloons falling from the ceiling over here. (The DNC was not in charge of the balloons.)

I don't need LJ for that; I can use any RSS/Atom newsreader or aggregator. For Mac users, I recommend NewsFire; it's quite good.

Anyway, for some reason I still like to just open up the sites and look at them... it doesn't require much effort to open a group of bookmarks in tabs. (Note to all you Windows/IE users who don't know what tabbed browsing is: switch to FireFox, for crying out loud!)

You should start a livejournal simply for the purposes of a Friends page. Then you will only have to reload one page in order to find out if anyone has written anything. That's where I read your entries via your feed!
