Ken's right. Advice doesn't do much except make one feel as if they are doing something wrong and need advice - from someone who has never been there! I've heard it all, from printing your resume on lavender paper, to setting up "informational interviews," to "just being positive!"

A pat on the back, a cup of coffee, and yes, $15, can go a LONG way.

And Melissa, if you're still reading, just don't give up. And on those days when you feel like you might,
it's OK. You can feel that way. Friends, family and fellow bloggers will carry the load for you on those days.

Be it their bumper stickers or their blog comments, the nice thing about self-righteous pinheads is that they love to jump up and shout, "Hey! Here I am!" which makes them all the easier to dismiss.

I can't believe you've had all this traffic and no comments ... so I'll start. I think what you've done for Melissa is great (intelligent advice too). If I wasn't unemployed and broke, I'd put my money where my mouth is as well.
