I took a sick day today. I'm not sure what it is. I woke up this morning with a splitting headache, and this time it wasn't due to drinking. I haven't had a drop of alcohol since Saturday. Maybe that's actually the problem. I also have a sore throat and I'm really tired. So, I stayed at home. I slept until about two in the afternoon, then got up and ate some soup. The afternoon was spent sitting on the couch watching "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" on pay-per-view... it was surprisingly good. I may write up some kind of review later. Here's the problem right now: I have almost no food in the house. For the last couple weeks I've been trying to make sure to finish off all my old food before I buy new food, because I have a bad habit of keeping food in the pantry and refrigerator for YEARS AND YEARS. I have some instant oatmeal from 1992, I think. The other day I opened up a can of Country Time Instant Lemonade, and the lemonade powder had turned into a solid brown mass. I can't even imagine what had prompted me to buy Country Time Instant Lemonade... perhaps I was under the influence of something I saw on "The Wonder Years". Note to self: when your pantry and your tummy are both empty, don't watch a movie featuring White Castle sliders, because you'll get the idea in your head that you actually want some. Should I dare to open the canned oysters? I don't think I could stomach them even if I were completely healthy. Where did those things come from? WHAT WAS I THINKING? |
