Ahhhh | Sunday, 2005 April 17 - 9:31 pm |
Today was just plain nice. I can't remember the last time we've had so many days of nice weather in one season. Today was 73°F (23°C), sunny, dry, and beautiful. The activity of choice for today turned out to be running. Today's two-mile time: 18:17. At the park, I saw a heron, a beaver building a dam, an itty-bitty wiener dog, and sixteen attractive women. Approximately. I ought to bring a camera to the park one of these days. The Flirt Blog has a clever trick... taking a girl's picture for publication on The Flirt Blog, as a means of flirting. It's like meta-flirting. Or something. I had planned to wash the cars, but I was out of car soap. I didn't want to use ordinary soap because, you know, cars have delicate skin, and they need their Special Soap With 1/4 Moisturizing Cream. So I went shopping for soap and that turned into a three-hour top-down-driving and shopping trip. I bought two books: the bestselling novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, and a new novel As Simple As Snow by Gregory Galloway. (That brings my backlog of "Books I've Bought But Haven't Read Yet" up to seven.) I also bought another CD/DVD rack, because I'm also accumulating DVDs (which are similarly backlogged). On the way here from Amazon: "The Big Lebowski" (which I've seen but I absolutely need to own) and "The House of Yes" (which I haven't seen yet). When I got home, I made myself a blue cheese burger (mmmmmmmm). I've learned something: using ground chuck (the really bad-for-you, 20%-fat variety of ground beef) makes for a much better burger. Tonight, after "Grey's Anatomy": bubble bath and a martini. Man, life is good sometimes. |
