Just Keepin' It Up
Saturday, 2005 April 30 - 3:17 am
It's Friday, and I'm buzzin'. "I'm like MA-gellan, I'm soooo gellin'". But I still have to post.

Today, as predicted, was a very social day.

For lunch, I went out with my friend Dan, and four EXCEPTIONALLY hot women. My friend Jessica asked me, "How did you manage to arrange this, lunch with four women and just two men?" I replied, "I'm no dummy."

One of the lunch participants, Julie, provided me with my number one new expression to work into casual conversation: If you're at work and someone is hovering over you trying to take over your responsibilities, you say to that person, "Hey, I'm fucking this chicken." I think Julie is my new hero. By the way, Julie's one of the only people who ever notices what I'm wearing. All the more reason to love her.

After work, our planned Happy Hour fell through, so I made it up by having drinks and dinner with Hot Anna. No complaints there.

At night, I went to a friend's birthday party. Most of the guests were married folk, the kind that don't go out much because they have kids and other "responsibilities". It was interesting to listen to them tell me that they didn't invite me out because they figured I was always out living the Wild Single Life. To some extent, I relish having the reputation of the Swinging Single Guy, but then again, sometimes I want to go out and just see a summer blockbuster movie with my friends. I'm willing to sacrifice a few party nights for that.

Okay, it's past 3:00 a.m. now, and this post is going nowhere. I think I'll call it a night before I say something REALLY stupid. Good night, all.
