Time to Bore You With Wonderful Things
Monday, 2005 May 9 - 7:54 pm
This weekend was fabulous, and I will be spending the next six or seven hours writing about it.

I'm just back from my trip to Michigan, and I've discovered a total of FIVE lovely surprises waiting for me at home, making for a perfect cap to an already wonderful weekend. I am going to document this entire weekend in horrifying detail, partly for the sake of those who participated in it, but mostly because if I didn't write it all, I would probably suffer a brain hemorrhage as all the thoughts tried to explode out of my head.

For those of you who were not involved in the weekend and who don't know me, I will try to throw in random bits of silliness to keep things entertaining. For example: "Mountain Mama". That is a prominent lyric in the classic folk song "Country Roads" by John Denver, and as a child I found it to be both random and silly. My sister and I could not sing that lyric with a straight face. It brings to mind a very corpulent woman living on a dirt road in West Virginia, and why would John Denver be so keen on that?

Check back over the course of this evening, because I'll be posting several articles along the way. Thanks to all my loyal readers who have allowed me this brief hiatus; and of course, welcome to new readers who may be arriving. (Hello, Melinda!)
