Today's Frozen Meal: Smart Ones Chicken Enchiladas Monterey
Thursday, 2010 April 15 - 1:01 pm
"Two white corn flour tortillas filled with tender chicken, smothered in a spicy tomato and pepper sauce paired with a side of southwest style rice and corn." Note to company: I am not fooled by the fact that you named a California city in your product.

Meal

One web site note, by the way... I now have a link to a summary page of my frozen lunch reviews, over there on the left sidebar. It's mostly for my own convenience, so I can quickly find which meals I've already reviewed when I'm out grocery shopping.

Taste: Pretty uninspiring. It's bland, and the "spicy tomato sauce" is more of a flavorless paste. The enchiladas are mostly just a mass of corn flour; it's hard to even taste the chicken in it. Score: 2.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: A bit high in fat and low in vitamins. Score: 2.0/3.0

Packaging: You have to stir the rice halfway through, and you have to "cover enchiladas with sauce". Good luck with that: there's only a tiny bit of sauce, and it's mostly turned to paste by the time you have to apply it. Score: 1.0/2.0

Total Score: 5.0/10.0
