July 26 Frozen Meal: Smart Ones Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
Tuesday, 2010 August 17 - 1:32 pm
"Tender spaghetti in a zesty meat sauce with onions, mushrooms & tomatoes". Since when is "tender" a good quality for spaghetti?

Box

Meal

Taste: It's a pretty thin sauce, and hardly what I'd call "zesty". The mushrooms and meat are in tiny pieces and are barely recognizable. The flavor isn't disagreeable, but it's certainly no better than what you'd get if you poured a jar of generic spaghetti sauce over plain spaghetti noodles. It could definitely use some Italian herbs... and perhaps a nice crusty piece of garlic bread to help soak up the sauce. Score: 2.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: A little high in sodium, and a bit lacking in vitamins. Score: 2.0/3.0

Packaging: Requires stirring midway through cooking. Score: 1.5/2.0

Total Score: 5.5/10.0
