Today's Lessons | Tuesday, 2005 April 26 - 10:10 pm |
Valuable tips! Here are your lessons for today. There will be a quiz tomorrow. 1. If you own a portable clothes steamer, you are probably a girl. Unless, of course, you are ME. 2. The phrase "you are ME" is grammatically incorrect, but the phrase "you are I" doesn't sound right. 3. When using a portable clothes steamer, it is wise to heed the boldly printed warning: 4. After steaming one's favorite shirt, it is wise to brush one's teeth before actually putting the shirt on, especially if one's propensity for drooling has been aggravated by a scalding. 5. It does not do much good to buy "bun-length" hot dogs when all you have are hamburger buns. 6. A clothes steamer should not be used as a hot dog warmer. (This lesson occurred to me without actually trying it. But I was tempted.) 7. It is not a good idea to eat a mustard-covered hot dog in an improperly-sized bun while wearing one's second-favorite shirt. |
