I can't wait for the Google hits for this article.

Some Los Angeles tourists and residents are not too happy with a new billboard advertising a strip club near the airport.

The billboard reads "Vaginas 'R' Us."

While my primary objection to the sign would be the grammatical error, others seem to object to the use of the word "Vaginas" (instead of the usual "LIVE NUDE NUDE NUDES" slogan). Club owner Howard White defends the use of the word, noting that there aren't similar objections to the popular mainstream play "The Vagina Monologues". And indeed, the city does not consider the word "vaginas" to be obscene. So they're using a different tactic to try to get the billboard removed: they're encouraging retailer "Toys 'R' Us" to sue for trademark infringement.

But here's the thing that really gets me: I don't find the word "vagina" to be particularly erotic. If a girl used that word during intercourse, I would be puzzled. Is this sex, or is this a medical examination?

Here are some suggested alternate slogans for the club:
- "Hymen-Mart"
- "Now With More Labia Majora"
- "Mastectomy-Free For The Last Fifteen Years"
