Queen B, Gotta Be Startin' Somethin'
Monday, 2005 April 25 - 9:35 pm
My week is off to a good start, I think. I hope.

Tonight I went out for a bottle of wine with my friend Queen B.

Her name isn't really Queen B, but that's what I call her, because her name starts with B, and she's very Queen-like. Not Queen the band, you know, but Queen the royalty. She's something of a cross between Audrey Hepburn and Diane Lane, and nothing at all like Freddy Mercury. Anyway, we went out and had a nice talk, as we usually do.

I'm hoping that this is the start of a socially active week. So far I'm already scheduled for a lunch with Four Hot Women, a dinner with Hot Anna, and a party with Many Hot Moms, so things are looking up.

Oh, and that reminds me, please welcome Pinky (Pink Plaid Face) to my link bar. (If you don't see the link to your left, please click "reload" in your browser.) She provides all sorts of clever observations about everyday things, and what's more, everybody seems to love her. I'm eventually going to meet her, at the Rilo Kiley concert in June. I can't wait!

I also might be meeting the One and Only Suburban Bliss* in a couple of weeks. Afterwards I am fully expecting to get ripped to shreds in her blog, and you know, I think I might LIKE it.

*Don't go to suburbanbliss.net. Someone else bought the domain and Melissa no longer writes there.

Why thank you kindly!

And Melissa didn't rip me to shreds after she met me - but as you say, everyone loves me :-)

(now where did you get that silly idea? i have an enemies list a mile long!)
