November 2 Frozen Meal: Lean Cuisine Chicken Tuscan
Tuesday, 2010 November 23 - 11:37 am
Chicken Tuscan? Don't they mean Tuscan Chicken? or Chicken Tuscany? "Chicken tenderloins and linguine in a sun dried tomato sauce, served with broccoli and carrots."

Box

Meal

The picture makes this look more like prison food than it actually was, but it certainly didn't live up to the photo on the box.

Taste: The sauce is a bit watery and under-seasoned. I was hoping for more sun-dried tomato flavor; it doesn't have that tart/sweet flavor that it's supposed to have. The linguine is slippery and hard to eat, kind of like those udon noodles that were cut too short. The chicken is flavorful, but the mushrooms and vegetables are not. It's a good-sized meal at 340 grams. Score: 2.5/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: High in sodium but otherwise all right. Score: 2.5/3.0

Packaging: You have to peel the film and add water to the vegetables, like one other Lean Cuisine meal I've had. What's up with that? Score: 1.5/2.0

Total Score: 6.5/10.0
