Someone gave me beer today! Hooray! This appeared on my desk at work today: Beer isn't usually in the habit of materializing on my desk, so I was puzzled. Did I have a secret admirer? Was I being stalked by an adoring fan? Co-worker John asked me if I'd done anything for anyone lately, and I said, "Well, nothing good." In general, my co-workers were not helpful, because they all said, "Beer? That's, um, mine. I left it on your desk by accident." Eventually I found out that it was someone for whom I'd done a favor. He had recently bought a Mac for his daughter, and I gave him buying advice and hooked him up with some software. I wasn't expecting a reward; I was happy to help, because THAT'S WHAT WE MAC PEOPLE DO. We're a community. It's like church, except with less damnation. Anyway, I wasn't expecting the beer at all. Having it show up like that, it actually made my work day rather pleasant. Of course, that beer is now half gone, so I suppose my pleasure may be somewhat short-lived. Such is the nature of beer. Amen. |

Beer...my one weakness. My Achilles heel, if you will. And this is reason #432 on why to be a Mac person! |

Boddington's is wonderful. It is great on draft. It forms a yellowish "waterfall". |

I tried to drop a little note to the address listed on the about page. It bounced back, might not be working. RKO, as in Radio picture? A picture of a radio? Also, I always say the best tasting beer in the world, is free beer! |

Mmm...such delicious beer, too! PC people would probably just buy you a Miller Lite. |

updated: Nicholas, RoadRunner in this area was having some sort of catastrophic mail server trouble... all e-mail was bouncing. The issue should be resolved now. |

I've always been a PC man myself, but in college I had to use a Mac. I liked some of the new stuff on the Macs alot, like the docking station and some of the features of OSX. Luckily I have recently stumbled onto a program that lets you run a Mac-like Doc on your PC, and also a program that lets you have skins for your windows (ObjectDock & Window Blinds, for those interested) Thanks to Dryponder for pointing me to those programs, cause know I can have my PC with the functions I likd in a Mac. |

Bah, I thought about resending it. But I forgot about my policy of not e-mailing bloggers. I used to drop little notes that I thought were funny. But one of the bloggers got offended, thought I was getting fresh. I came across as funny-weird. |
