Saturday Recap
Sunday, 2005 June 5 - 5:57 pm
You know, there are a lot of cute women in Chapel Hill.

So yesterday was the non-date with GunGirl. She made barbecued ribs for dinner, YUM. And, she introduced me to her friend PianoGirl, who happens also to be rather cute and charming, not to mention the fact that she's a world-renowned pianist.

After dinner we went to the Rilo Kiley concert, which was good, but also very loud, very hot, and very crowded. I've forgotten how claustrophobic Cat's Cradle can be when they host a sold-out show. I didn't bother to take a camera with me... I saw other people trying to take pictures, and ending up with lots of photos of the backs of heads.

When we walked into the place, I figured there was no way I was ever going to find Pinky in the crowd. I mean, there were probably at least six hundred people there. But Pinky found me, as we were walking out at the end of the show. She was there with Mr. Pinky, and they were just as adorable and friendly as you'd expect them to be. Now I feel privileged that I know who they are... it's like discovering Superman's real identity. Of course, it would probably be much easier to figure out Superman... after all, Superman's disguise was essentially just a pair of glasses, and how could you not notice someone changing clothes inside a phone booth?

On the drive home, I went down the back roads, and I narrowly missed two opossums and one deer.

This week I have my first meeting with ImprovGirl, who thus far doesn't know about this blog. That'll also be in Chapel Hill. Friday I have another non-date with GunGirl, at an event that should be, um, interesting. I won't say much more about that until afterwards.

You're going to the demolition derby with GunGirl?

Wild mushroom hunting?

Bobbit's Hole?

The ASPCA to visit the unwanted animals?

Barnes & Noble to look at the dirty books?

bickett gallery to be the only two people there?

Cafe Driade, pretending you're in Madagascar?

The movie, Madagascar?

It's golfing, isn't it.

Rolfing?
