BlogHer 2006
Wednesday, 2005 October 26 - 8:31 am
Oh, it's ON.

Hooray! BlogHer 2006 has been scheduled for July 28-29, 2006. And I already see that some of my party friends (Jenny, Bake Town) are planning to go. So I have about nine months to exhort all the female bloggers I know to sign up for it (hint hint Cerdo)... if for nothing else but the heavy drinking. The promise of alcohol would probably be enough persuade Amy to come, even though she's not a blogger. And maybe, just maybe, she'd want to keep an eye on me while I'm surrounded by all those women.

This time I might be tempted to participate a little more in the conference discussions... though I still wouldn't want to be That Man who tries to dominate a conference specifically designed for and about women. But if there's a session that discusses dating, blogging about dating, or male-female interactions in the blogging world in general, I just might have to speak up.

Of course, if that session is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, right in the middle of peak hangover time, there's a chance I'd just skip it altogether.

I hope you can get Amy to come! I'd love to meet her. I can't wait!

Arugh. California again! BlogHer is so westcoastist. Time to start feeding the piggy some extra pennies. I ached to be there last year.
