Well Well Well

Oh, Internets. I feel bad that I'm not writing so much any more...

You know, it's not that I've run out of things to say. And it's not that I don't want to write. It's not even that I'm lacking in time. I'm just not home as much any more, and with the stupid blogging setup I've got, I can only blog from home. I really need to get cracking on a new blogging system... preferably one that would allow me to blog while driving, because I sure seem to spend a lot of time in my car.

So, what's new? Well, there have been no new kitty-puke incidents, which is good. And I haven't called anyone a cow or a snake in nearly a week now. So I guess things are going well.

Saturday I went to a going-away party for my friend Virginia, who's going off to Idaho to do something that sounds like a long vacation, but is actually supposedly some sort of job. She says she's going to start blogging while she's out there, so maybe you'll see a new link appear in my link bar before too long.

Sunday I mowed Amy's lawn, which is actually a fun activity because she's got a riding lawn mower, and who wouldn't enjoy that? I kinda feel like Forrest Gump when I'm out there on that thing. And you can pretty much mow anything with a riding mower: sticks, rocks, trees, small appliances... everything falls to the mighty mighty riding mower blade, if you run over it with enough momentum.

Today I got a replacement phone from Cingular for the defective one I bought in February. This is actually the third phone I'm trying. The first one wouldn't connect to the Internet, it would crash constantly, and even on standby, it would chew through a battery in about three hours. When I tried the first replacement, I found it couldn't get any kind of network signal at all. This one, the replacement for the replacement, appears to be working better. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Tonight I watched "Idol" with Amy and I wasn't terribly impressed with anyone... but I'll have to watch it back in the morning before I can give a full report.

My goal for the rest of the week: to continue reporting about all these FASCINATING activities! Whee!

Ken, sweet Ken, we do miss thee. Perhaps one day we shall invent that device that allows us to directly download your very thoughts into our all-encompassing presence, but alas even we have not yet obtained that power.

I am sad to here that your friend Virginia is leaving. It is not often that one has an opportunity to befriend an entire state. I certainly hope that Virginia has called ahead to make sure that Idaho has room. Perhaps if they flatten out some of the mountains they can at least fit Richmond and Alexandria.
