Job news, wedding news, and "Heroes".

So remember the 5% pay cut we got a while ago? As it turns out, it really was just temporary. Business at our company has picked up, and they announced yesterday that our original pay would be restored in January. So it's not exactly like getting a raise, but hey, that made a lot of us less disgruntled than we were before. 5% less disgruntled. We're not all the way back to being, uh, gruntled, but it's an improvement.

In wedding news, we've gotten a bunch of "no" RSVPs back from our wedding invitations... particularly from my Michigan friends. I don't fault anyone for not being able to make a trip during the holidays, but I guess I didn't anticipate as many people to decline as they did. As a result, we've got room to invite more people. It's kind of short notice now, though. Maybe I should just throw it open to the Internets? Sarah, come on down, I'll give you that beer I owe you.

And in TV news, "Heroes" is rapidly becoming one of my favorite shows. There's an interesting article about Masi Oka (Hiro) on wired.com... did you know he used to be a programmer for Industrial Light and Magic? HE'S A REAL GEEK. Beautiful.

My guilt for turning you down is crushing my soul. Also, I am enjoying Heroes.

Love means never having to say "I feel guilty."

I'm just getting around to reading the blogs I no longer have time for except on the weekend, and seriously, the online wedding invitation made my day, even if it was a joke!
