Recap of Saturday's activities. First of all, was that Michigan game amazing or what? I'll have more on that tomorrow, in the usual football recap post. Yesterday I did a little more gambling, quickly losing another $100, boo. But then we watched the game, yay, had a few drinks in the suite, took some group photos (to be posted later), and then it was off for dinner and a show. We ate at Stripsteak, a fancy steak place at the Mandalay Bay. I'll try to write up a full review later, but the general consensus was "overpriced and overrated". And "salty". We then saw "Spamalot", which was showing at the Wynn. You know, the musical version of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". It was cute, but I commented to Javi later that it was kind of like a show that we would have done while we were in theater... a lot of goofy humor, and not a lot of set changes. After that, I was pretty much done. Today we lose our hotel room, so we'll have to trek over to the New York New York (where Alan is staying for a few more days), dropping off our luggage until we fly out. A bunch of us are flying out on the red-eye tonight. The daytime activities be fairly sedate... maybe some shopping, maybe a little bit more gambling, and maybe some cheap eats somewhere. |
