Avast, Me Hearties
Sunday, 2005 September 18 - 7:10 pm
A very important announcement.

I only learned recently that tomorrow (September 19) is Talk Like a Pirate Day. ARRR. I will be going around saying ARRR all day. That should make my Monday meetings interesting.

I love weird holidays. BakeTown has a link to Poop for Peace Day, which we've already missed this year (April 15). That should be my personal adopted holiday.

January 22 is Answer Your Cat's Question Day. February 23 is Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. October 14 is Be Bald and Be Free Day (and coincidentally, it's also sometimes World Egg Day, which is the second Friday of October).

Of course, then there's the silliest holiday of all: New Year's Day. Couldn't EVERY day be considered the start of a new year? We should just call it Arbitrary Point in Earth's Orbit Day.

ARRR.
