More on-line dating laments.

So first, I stumbled across an on-line profile where the girl tries to pass herself off as Laura Palmer from "Twin Peaks". This is the picture of "herself" she has posted:

The funny part is that her profile has this line in it:

I guess she wants to find someone who won't see through her ruse.

I found another profile where the word "definitely" is misspelled all four times it's used... she spells it "defintly". One line of the profile says "Deep sea fishing is defintly a plus." That sentence is just WRONG, in more ways than one.

My lament about not dating is not so much that I need a woman to "complete" me, but more that it would be nice to have someone to do stuff with. For example, I have two season tickets to the North Carolina Theater. Although I usually don't have a problem finding a girl friend to go with me, it would be nice just not to worry about it. This week I'd like to go see the movie "Sin City", and I might have to see it by myself. And of course, there's my friend's upcoming wedding in November at a beautiful tropical resort in Costa Rica. You'd think there'd be someone interested in going to something like that.

I went on a million loser dates before I found even one nice guy. Okay, not a million, but it felt like it. You'll find somebody. It's so cliche but..."when you least expect it." The night I went on a date with the guy I'm now...dating...I didn't even want to go and I was ready to cancel because I was so sick of going on bad dates and i had zero expectations. I was pretty convinced that if he was cute, he'd be an asshole, and if he wasn't an asshole, he wouldn't be cute. Wrong and wrong, Kate-O.

Har har. Get it? Kate-O and Kato? Har har har. [slaps knee]
