Real Kato Blog: Three Things

... all of them somehow related to porn.

Here's something I saw on Dave Barry's blog: Seven suspended over Octopus porn. Dave Barry always finds all the best Internet stories, probably because his many thousands of readers send him stuff all the time. I'm a little disappointed that he doesn't actually write anything in his blog about these stories. It was his newspaper column that was partly the inspiration for my own writing style (though you probably can't really tell). You'd think he'd be a really good blogger, but all he does is spew out links to funny online articles. Come on, Dave, we know you're capable of so much more.

The identity of "Deep Throat", from the Watergate scandal, has been revealed. It turned out to be former FBI official W. Mark Felt. Do you suppose that his lasting legacy will be that anonymous Washington tipsters will all be named after porn movies? "Psst, hey, I got the goods on Tom Delay. You can call me 'Teenage Ass Humping'."

In Illinois today, a man allegedly set fire to his own home to get some unwanted guests to leave. Boy, was that the first idea to come into his head? I think it might have been more effective if he had done what a guy in my dorm did, during my freshman year at Michigan. When it got to be 3:00 a.m. and his roommate's party was still going on in his room, he got fed up... so he dropped his pants and began masturbating. Boy, that got people out FAST.

also related to porn...

I had a friend/"some guy I knew" in college who would come over to my room and just look at porn for hours (it seemed). I finally had to just pretend to go to bed until he left and then get up and get on with my evening plans... looking at porn.

i had the same complaint about Barry's blog, but maybe he's saving all his writing for the collumn. When he finishes it soon, perhaps he'll actually "blog" more.
