Episcopals: Not That There's Anything Wrong With That | Monday, 2006 June 19 - 11:20 pm |
The new leader of the U.S. Episcopal Church says homosexuality is not a sin. Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, the newly elected leader of the U.S. Episcopal Church, says she believes that homosexuality is not a sin. "Some people come into this world with affections ordered toward other people of the same gender and some people come into this world with affections directed at people of the other gender." So: here's Katharine, living in one of only three countries that allows women to be bishops (the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand). She says homosexuality is not a sin. And the most horrifying fact of all? She has a Ph.D. in marine biology, specializing in squids and oysters. If there's one thing that will tear the Christian faith asunder, it's them damn squids and oysters. |
