Wednesday, 2004 March 10 - 12:23 am
A Republican friend of mine (whom I greatly respect) recently asked me why I was a Democrat. I didn't respond to her completely at the time, but it's something I've thought about a lot. Here are some of my reasons.

Tuesday, 2004 February 10 - 11:38 pm
Nickel and Dimed, by Barbara Ehrenreich, explores a writer's experiment trying to make a living as a typical American wage-slave. Society: "Under God" E-mail Hoax
Tuesday, 2004 February 10 - 10:30 pm
An e-mail hoax from a few years ago has sprung up in my e-mail inbox again. It claims that Pepsi has put the Pledge of Allegiance on a new patriotic can design, but has left off the words "Under God". For this reason, we are supposed to boycott Pepsi. Not only is this e-mail untrue... it is offensive.
